  1. Great boot for bigger guys 5 Star Review

Posted by on 27th Oct 2016

It is almost impossible to find great gear that will stand up to the abuse of myself. Lowa hit a homerun with the Tibet Gtx. I am 6'0 and 260lbs, let's just say I have worn all brands, Mendel, Danner, Under Armour, and more. I can normally get 1 season out of my boots as I hunt hard and cover a lot of miles. These boots are great, after a small break in period I can say I hunted all season and did not get any hotspots or blisters. The best part is they look and feel great after 1 season and I am excited to use them for late archery. Great boot cannot beat it for the money. Thank you linton outdoors for the recommendation..

  2. Excellent backcountry boot! 5 Star Review

I purchased a pair of Tibets this summer to use for September elk, October deer and chukars. I just finished wearing them for a week during the Idaho archery opener for elk. They handled the varied terrain without flaw. I covered everything from rocky side hills, steep north-facing blowdowns, stream crossings, and marshy bogs. The boots weren't too clunky either on final approaches. No blisters or hot spots and no leaks. And I love the locking mid-lace points. Excellent boot and excellent service, as always. Thanks Chad!

  3. My favorite boot, hands down 5 Star Review

Posted by on 28th Jun 2015

For me, these boots were comfortable and "trail ready" right out of the box, not something that I am particularly used to experiencing from a "high end", "stiff" boot.

These have ended up being everything I was looking for after trying 4-6 pairs of boots from other brands.

They are comfortable, stay tight throughout the day, have good traction, plenty of support for heavy loads and they keep my feet dry. What more could you ask for?

  4. Most comfortable boots 5 Star Review

Posted by on 28th Feb 2015

These are by far the most comfortable boots my feet have ever felt. It's been three weeks wearing them out horn hunting in southern Idaho, it's very steep and rocky county. Today we had fresh snow in the Owyhee mountains I wore just a cotton sock (I don't usually) and my feet were perfectly warm.

3 weeks after purchase , took them on a Arizona backpack deer hunt. Performed great with no sore spots after 17 miles

  6. Great Boots 5 Star Review

First impression out of the box was heavy, and well made. For me the boots were comfortable the first time that i wore them. I normally have trouble with sizing, and buying boots over the internet i thought for sure that i would be sending them back at least once to get a proper fit. I had my feet measured before i ordered them and the fit was right on. I wore these boots on our trip to Alaska and the more that i used them the better they felt. I did a lot of hiking on trails and around town and could have used a lighter boot but all in all my feet and legs were comfortable, and when i got off trail with a back pack climbing rocks and going thru streams these boots really shined, this is what they are made for. I never felt more stable. And with a little care they should last me a long time.

  7. Tank Armour for your feet 5 Star Review

BLUF: These boots are by far the stiffest out of the box footwear I have ever encountered: This is a good thing! After having worn them for 2 weeks straight they are finally starting to flex ( a little ). I have 50 miles of " on / off trail " hiking thus far with no hot spot or blisters. I have taken them above treeline in Colorado, threw the worse terrain I could find, no problems. After a 12 mile hike to tree line this weekend with a 60lb ruck (not on a trail) my feet felt great. My only reccomendation to anyone looking at these boots is weight. They are a tad on the heavy side for normal trail hiking: example :going up the incline trail in Manitou Colorado, my time was noticable slower to the top. But if your a die hard elk hunter and want something that will last and can handle side hill walking all day, the Lowa Tibet is brilliant.

Sizing: I normally wear a wide; however, these fit perfect in normal width. They are true to my normal shoe size in length and offer ample room in the toe box.

Waterproof: I snowshoed with these guys and stepped threw a creek. NO LEAKS, and they performed well with snowshoes which isnt the norm for hiking boots.

Tread: Obviously Vibram is the industry standard, I have found these to be equal to other top end brands. Excellent in everything minus ice. They have the full rubber rand, which greatly aids in crimp ons.

Apperance: I wore them up a mountain on SAT and to church the following day.

I have owned other top end boots, such as danner, rocky, scarpa, asolo and kennetrek. I am not loyal to any one brand, but these are #1 IMHO. Would I recommend these to a friend? I wouldnt recommend anything else!

  9. Best boot out there 5 Star Review

Posted by on 6th Jan 2013

I researched every boot out there. My friends had high praise for the kennetreks. I wanted something different. Went with the Tibet's. Best choice hands down. I am a backcountry maniac and these boots perform unbelievably. Wore them snow shoeing last week on late mulie hunt. They are stiff and need to be worn however. But a solid boot .my go to boot
