Product Description

Eberlestock Team Elk Pack

The Eberlestock Team Elk pack is one of the best all-around hunting packs ever created. With a unique set of best-in-class features, including fold-away rifle scabbard, built-in bow carrier, Intex tubular aluminum frame, dual full-depth spotting scope and hydration pockets, grapple-compression straps, and more! And for the first time, Eberlestock added zip-and-flip covers to the scabbard and bow carrier, so that when not carrying a gun or bow, they serve as additional pockets. At 3100 cubic inches (40 liters), the Team Elk pack hits the sweet spot in hunting pack size. It serves well as a day pack but is also great for shorter multi-day trips, and is a great game hauler. Has both front-loading and top-loading access.

Designed to appeal to all hunters, Eberlestock is proud to support the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation with a donation of part of the purchase price of each pack sold.

Shipping dimensional weight = 21 lbs. Actual weight = 6.8 lbs.

  1. nice pack, not for me 3 Star Review

There is a lot to like about this pack, but I found a few things that I don't like, so am sending it back. I think the size is great and the front access is a big plus. The concept of the side pockets is good, but in practice they should have been zippered pouches instead of pockets. When the main compartment is stuffed full then the side pockets are more like envelopes and you are not able to get a spotting scope in there. I didn't like the shoulder straps for a couple of reasons. I needed the chest strap connected to keep them on my shoulders and then the shoulder straps didn't lay flat to my chest, they made contact on the edge connected to the chest strap and did not contact on the rest of the shoulder strap which is not comfortable. For me also I would have like the chest strap to have had more adjustment to go a little lower. However, if the shoulded straps had laid correctly/flat to my chest then maybe the chest strap adjustment would have been OK.

I also didn't care for how the load adjustment straps are attached to the pack on the top side edges. I was expecting the scabbard to be like the gunslinger II (the one I saw didn't have the aluminum frame), but this one is a lot different. The aluminum frame bends into the scabbard reducing the volume of the scabbard and makes the scabbard only about 1 inch or less thick on the outside edges. Also, unlike the gunslinger II the scabbard does not have a zipper in the lower section to clean it out. The top of the scabbard is zippered and one zipper edge can be rolled to keep it from rubbing your gun, but the other side cannot be rolled to keep it from rubbing. I am not sure this is a real problem, but is something I noticed.

  2. damn good pack 4 Star Review

this is a great pack and is very comfortable, and lots of accessory pocketS, when my pack is filled it's a little tight getting my gun in there with my bipods and it makes a tiny bit of noise from the aluminum frame But Not Enough to worry about, also is a little tight getting a big spotting scope in the side Pouch .

  3. Great Product 5 Star Review

I brought this pack for hunting in NZ's Southern Alps. Typically I carry my rifle and a heavy SLR camera with large lens. I wanted a pack that could carry both along with a enough gear for extended 2-3 day hunts. I think this pack will do the the job just fine.
