Product Description

Eberlestock J34 Just One Pack

The Eberlestock J34 Just One Pack is the latest refined version of the original Just One design from Eberlestock.  The Eberlestock J34 features a new streamlined shape, vertically adjustable torso length, waterproof zippers, a high-visibility interior (no more groping for a black flashlight in a black compartment), deep "3D" ventilated padding, scabbard drainage and cleanout access.  Starting at an ultra-compact 2300 cubic inches, it expands to 4600 with its built-in Cam Expansion™ system.

With the Quickdraw Backscabbard™, you can reach over your shoulder and quickdraw your firearm, arrows from a quiver, etc. As with all Eberlestock packs, the J34 Just One is hydration system compatible.

People are really impressed when they see how the Eberlestock Just One can grow into a terrific meat pack. The logic is simple: the pack is made to fit right behind your torso for active hunting. It's very compact and doesn't protrude far from your body, so it doesn't get in your way. Then, when you have game down, open the pack up and start hauling meat. The tough, soft-finish camo packs have an exclusive ventilated mesh-fronted meat compartment, so your meat will be able to cool while you pack it.

Weight 7,3 lbsz, Capacity 2300-4600 cu inches.

The Blue Widow was introduced upon the request of bow hunters who had wondered at first glance what they would do with the rifle scabbard on our Dragonfly and Just One packs. Most of those who used the J107 found that they like the scabbard after all, because it’s a great place to put things like arrows and grunt tubes. But anyway, we like packs so much that we decided to honor the idea and apply some of the un-tapped items in our design locker. The Blue Widow is basically a Dragonfly with the scabbard layer removed. The main vertical pockets and utility expansion compartment are attached directly to the main frame panel. We added a larger Flex Chassis which can fold forward for use as a seat. And because we think that scabbards and packs go together, we made it so that you can add one if you need it.

Please note: When choosing a hydration unit for the JP9, we recommend the WB2L.

  1. If you can lift it this pack will haul it! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 29th Sep 2014

I've used this pack for several years now and still love it, I have tried several other great packs that get my gear in fine but that is as far as they go . With the Just One I use it to pack my camp in the spike duffle, drop it, and hunt. Once camp is off my back it becomes my day pack. After an animal is down I can go straight to him, process and pack out. With Blacktail Deer or small bear I am able to pack out in one heavy trip. Last year I was able to haul 4 quarters of mature Mulie then get gear, head, and rest of meat out on 2nd trip. I am not easy on gear and as they say if you can lift it this pack will haul it.

  2. Good Pack 4 Star Review

Posted by on 24th Feb 2014

I gave this pack four stars because of a couple of reasons. It earns the stars by the expansion and hauling capabilities. Also the other items you can get to make the pack even more versatile. This is what sold me on the product in the first place. I have loaded it up with all my gear and it felt very comfortable hauling it around the mountains. The down side for me, and where i took a star away, was the lack of smaller pockets. It was either in the bigger side pockets, main pocket or no where. Sure there are two ones in the top but still wasn't my favorite aspect. As i put things in the pack it all just sunk to the bottom. After some rearranging of different gear i made due with what it offered. Over all a good buy but some changes could make it even better.

  3. "Just One" - Sums it up!!! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 17th Nov 2013

I am a very particular and picky shopper when it comes to equipment for my hobbies. I learned early on to evaluate all aspects before making a purchase.

Here's some background...I'm 5'5, 165lbs with a average torso for a guy with a frame this size. I spent two months researching, reading blogs, reviews and asking questions about the various packs on the market.

My requirements were like many others. I wanted a pack that was completely universal. Something I could use for all my hunts (rifle and bow), be used as a day pack, meat hauling pack, overnight trips or even backpack bow hunts for a week.

All my research lead to three backs: The Eberlestock, Mystery Ranch and Kafaru. My buddy purchased a Karafu so I had the option of trying it on and getting fitted with various weight and wearing around. It is a great pack! I didn't have the option with Mystery Ranch. I went to the local cabelas and tried on the Eberlestock. I spent two hours with a very knowledgeable and helpful associate. The back felt great with mild weight. We loaded it up to about 75lbs and wore the pack around the store for about 20minutes. Needless to say I was sold.

They did not the camo pattern of my choice or any of the accessories on hand. With all my data and info in-hand I took the web and purchased it online.

I'm very pleased with the pack. I recently returned from a 6 day Colorado Elk hunt. The pack did wonderfully. My average day pack weight was about 20lbs. It carried so well that I never had any issues.

On day 3 of the hunt I finally had the chance to test the meat hauling capabilities. This is where the pack totally shined! We de-boned the elk and packed the meat in large bags. I expanded the pack, zipped in the expandable panel and was on my way.

My bag had a hind quarter and both back straps. The estimated load was 85lbs. The hike out was not easy, about 1.5miles of steep rocky and snowy terrain. However the new Eberlestock backpack did outstanding! I could not be more pleased with the purchase. The quality is super high function is second to none!

  4. My favorite pack 5 Star Review

Posted by on 16th Aug 2013

I really like the fit and function of the J34. It is a shade heavy, but the versatility makes up for it in many cases. I love the loops that allow me to compress the scabbard layer to fit the situation. I have carried up to 85lbs comfortably (at least as comfortable as 85lbs can be). My rifle comes out smooth and fast, and the lay-out works great with my gear and optics set-up.

  5. Excellent Fit 5 Star Review

Posted by on 21st Jan 2013

The J34 pack is a great fitting pack. Not had a chance to hunt with it yet, but loading it up at home, it appears to distribute the weight well. It fits me very well and looks to be made extremely tough. When adjusted correctly, weight is most all on hips, not the shoulders. The 2 liter hydration bag fits perfectly in pocket.
Ordering Process / Customer Service at Linton Outdoors is also 5 Stars. Very nice and helpful people.

  6. fast shipping 5 Star Review

Posted by on 25th Oct 2012

Thanks for the quick service on a great pack. I saw an Eberlestock pack in use by my guide on a recent Idaho elk hunt. It was far better than the one I had just bought for this hunt. Design & quality of the J34 cant be beat by any other brand. Do yourself a favor & buy an Eberlestock first, it will save you money.

  7. Pack arrived in 3 days with the Free Shipping option! Thanks Linton Outdoors! 4 Star Review

Posted by on 17th Oct 2012

So far I can only give it 4 stars because I haven't been able to try it out in the field yet, but will be doing so next week during 2nd rifle elk season here in Colorado. From what I can tell upon first impression, this pack is going to work very well! The constructions appears to be very solid and rugged and should stand up to several years of abuse. I also really love that the pack compacts to a smaller, more managable day pack size, but can than be unzipped and expanded into a meat or gear hauler. The pack is easy to adjust and fits very comfortably and provides alot of support. The rifle scabbard seems like a great option as well for the long hikes in to your hunting area when you may not need to have your firearm shouldered.

    Thanks again Linton Outdoors!

  8. Just what I expected 5 Star Review

Posted by on 5th Oct 2012

I used my Just One pack for my 12 day archery elk hunt in the Bighorns of Wyoming. The pack holds all my gear with plenty of room left over. The straps hold it nice and tight to my back regarless of how it is loaded. The suspension system is easily adjustable and very comfortable. I own the X-1 also and needed a larger pack for this hunt. The Just One fit my needs both for capacity and price. Thanks to Chad @ Linton Outdoors for the awesome package deal and speedy delivery (3 days from order to delivery).

  9. Great Hunting Pack 5 Star Review

Posted by on 5th Oct 2012

Very comfortable pack. Easy to transport gear, meat and rifle. Hunted with mine in Alaska for 7 days. It worked great. Very heavy duty, all items in pack stayed dry during rain and snow. Carried it every day, no problem. It is a pretty heavy pack, but definitely manageable.

  10. Just one 5 Star Review

Posted by on 29th Dec 2010

"just one" they weren't kidding, I use this as a day pack and multi-day. Versatile and a great design, getting that rifle out of my hands and still have quick access to it is really cool. A quick zip down the center and I have tons of room for meat and/or my camp gear.

I got like 5 packs in my garage, they're all still there when I go hunting now!! ha
