Product Description

Eberlestock H2 Gunrunner Pack

The Eberlestock H2 Gunrunner is the small light and fast daypack hunters have been asking for.  This is a great pack for the guy who likes a simple design and doesn't require a ton of pockets.  It is the half size version of the popular GS05 Gunslinger built on the A2LS Sniper Rifle Scabbard (same size scabbard as the J34 Just One).   The Gunrunner has a single vertical and horizontal external compression strap on the outside along with mesh side pockets and is hydration compatible.

Weight 3lbs 10oz, PACK 1000 C.I. scabbard 400 C.I. Total Capacity 1400 cubic inches.

If you want a hunting pack slightly larger than the Eberlestock Mini Me yet feel the X1 size pack is just a little too much but the scabbard is a must have, here's your new baby...The Eberlestock Gunrunner.

  1. Nice streamlined daypack 5 Star Review

Posted by on 9th Feb 2015

I previously owned an XE1, which while very comfortable was a little heavy for the type of hunting I do here in New Zealand which often involves a lot of walking in steep or rugged terrain.
I like the Gunrunner due to it's narrow profile which is good in the bush. And it has enough capacity for extra clothing, lunch etc.
If you have meat to carry out just use the accessory Birdbag which I also purchased.

  2. To loud with rifle drawn 3 Star Review

Posted by on 16th Aug 2013

I'm a big fan of Eberlestock packs but not this particular one. I found that it was hard to get quiet and stabile. There is no good way to compress the scabbard layer on this pack. When I drew my rifle from the scabbard the material on the inside of the pack rubbed together and was very loud. I had the local saddle shop sew an additional compression strap around the entire scabbard and pack just under the top of the scabbard that allowed me to tighten it up quick without removing the pack. It fixed the noise problem. Still the pack is so narrow and protrudes far enough from my back that I never really liked it, it wants to wobble side to side. I really want an Eberlestock in this size range, but this isn't the one for me. I've tried this pack, the mini me, X1A1, and X1E in the field and found I keep going back to the J34 and X3. My wife likes the Gunrunner for antelope and whitetail where she doesn't cover as much ground so it became her pack.

  3. Great day pack 4 Star Review

Posted by on 22nd Jul 2013

great pack. if shoulder straps included velcro retention tabs, and scabbard could be closed when not in use, it would be perfect hiking/light hunting pack. In short, Linton is a great retail vendor of Eberlestock gear. My two criticisms are very minor and design related. Awesome service, free shipping and received within three days.

  4. Great for one day hunting trip. 4 Star Review

Great little day pack perfect size and has molly straps to add
extra porches. Which I did for just a little more storage space.
I like to keep my things departmentalize.
This is my second Elberstock pack. Which is a very comfortable fix and carry.

  5. Very Good 5 Star Review

Posted by on 11th Nov 2012

I used the pack on a recent pig hunt and was generally satisfied. It is compact and lightweight which were priorities for me. The built-in scabbard is outstanding. The quality appears to be very good. My only quibble is the lack of additional pockets on the outside. I know it is a compact pack but I repeatedly found myself wanting quick access to something that I had to put in the main compartment. Maybe I just need to add the available saddle bag to increase capacity. Would definitely recommend.

  6. Color off 5 Star Review

Posted by on 8th Jun 2012

I was anxious to get the Gunrunner H2 in the Western Slope camo but was quite disappointed to see that it has very little (none) resemblance to the color shown in photos of it. But even my own digital photos of it appear gray than the actual color which has a strong GREEN base to it. Other than that, it's another great Eberlestock weapon-based platform.
