Product Description

Eberlestock Gunslinger II Pack with NEW Intex Frame

The Eberlestock Gunslinger II was developed from the original GS05M Gunslinger. It has a slightly larger scabbard, to better accommodate weapons with larger cross-sections or bulky optics. The scabbard is wide at the bottom, giving the option of carrying weapons butt-down or butt-up. The main bag is the same size as the GS05M, so capacity is about the same. Like the Operator, it has both front loading and top loading features, giving exceptional accessibility and loading flexibility.

The Eberlestock G2 is a great platform to make the ultimate "go bag." It is relatively compact, yet capable of internally storing an M-16/M-4/AR type weapon, water, ammo, and survival gear. Once in the field, the pack has good capacity, but has the added benefit of being really easy to lash additional gear to, simply by cranking on an external load with its built-in compression straps.  The pack includes the GSTC Butt Cover, with pull-out sleeve. This allows you to fully enclose a rifle up to 60" long.  Hydration sleeves on the back wall, semi-transparent tuck pockets, and Padlock (PALS) webbing fit out the interior.  The top pocket assembly features a handy internal organizer, with several small pockets, pen holders, and a padded pocket which serves equally well for AR mags or for a PDA.

Hunting packs made with NT1 Waterproof Microfleece, Tactical packs made with 1000 Denier nylon.

Weight 8lbs 4oz, Capacity 2700 cu inches.

  1. what a pack for all days :) 5 Star Review

Posted by on 19th Jan 2015

got this through the post today :) outstanding customer support from Linton Outdoors :)

what can i say :) a 40litre pack that is accessed either through the top opening or through the front zips which i really like cos it means that you dont have to strip your pack to get inside :)

i like the frame - very sturdy but also helps the pack to stand up on its own (flat surface) so the pack doesnt have to be laid down :)

it takes MOLLE pouches on the outside too which was really good to see as i like my water to be in pouches although there are drawstring pockets that'll be fine with half litre bottles but not full litre bottles - still good for storing small items :) all but 2 of the straps have velcro tag ends so that the excess strap can be rolled up out of the way which makes this really neat and tidy :) other things like the handles on each side plus on the back section are really neat touches and aid in picking it up and for carrying :) the shoulder straps and waistbelt are very well padded with very good snap locks that are very easy to adjust :)

the interior :) there are so many pockets inside the main pack for larger loose items like knives and axes :) inside the lid there is a full MOLLE admin section and it's fairly big too :)

the scabbard section is a dream to use - my rifle has gone to sleep it's that well padded in there and the scabbard has a removable top cover which located on 4 very easy to use snap locks :)

the material itself is 1000denier - waterproof and prolly bombproof too (not testing that theory now) it's been built to last the stitching is multi layered all through this pack :)

if i ever manage to damage this pack i would certainly buy another one top quality at a very good price :)

  2. Great pack 4 Star Review

Overall, great pack! I was expecting more pockets, but I will have plenty of room for all my stuff, plus all the MOLLE space to attach more pouches.
Very high quality, and looks very durable. Very pleased!

  3. Awesome pack 5 Star Review

A great pack. It has everything I need and more. Easy to use and well suited to the smash and crash hunting environment of New Zealand. It has taken a good beating already with no signs of stress or wear

  4. Eberlestock Gunslinger 2 - Military Green 5 Star Review

Posted by on 27th Jun 2012

This is an awesome pack. A little heavy, but is built like a tank. I will be using this for hunting and will be capable of packing out a deer.

I got the Military Green, I was very surprise of the light grayish / green color. Not over powering that you what expect. I did not want it to look military green I'm use to. The color is PERFECT.

I purchased my water bladder from another company ( not from Eberlestock). I got the Source Tactical WXP 3L Upgrade kit in Folage but they sent me coyote brown. The color of the tube matchs the pack somewhat. It ain't that bad. I do what to mention with the 3L bladder does NOT fit inside the sleeve of the pack. What I did was attached both of the internal water clips inside the pack to the bladder. The length of the bladder is almost the whole length and width of the pack. It does sit nicely. I did e-mail Eberlystock the specs of the bladder and they said it would fit. Ya, just not in the sleeve. I'm not sure if the 2L would fit in the sleeve aswell. Just thought I would mention this. If someone would have wrote a review on the 3L, I would have bought the 2L.

I hope this helps out the next guy. Chad Linton was great, answered all my questions. Once I placed my order, I received it less than 48hrs. I live in California.
