Product Description

Badlands Sacrifice LS Pack

This Badlands Super Light Hunting Pack was Designed in conjunction with the guy who understands the value of “light” better than anyone else, Cameron Hanes. Lighter yet Stronger. That was the goal when taking one of the most popular Badlands Packs of all-time back to the drawing board. With a Badlands Hypervent™ Suspension, a lighter-faster-stronger Ripstop outer and an unconditional lifetime warranty, the Sacrifice LS was literally built for all the mountain can throw its way.+

Let's face it....You put a lot of stress on your hunting gear. As you should! Certain areas of your pack are bound to take more abuse than others. Through a scientific process we call "beating the living hell out of it" we found these "high stress areas" and added reinforcements. Hypalon is one of the highest strength, yet flexible materials known to man and we had to have it. We bought up the world's supply and use it on all high stress areas on all Badlands packs. Why go the extra mile you may ask? Because at Badlands the giving never stops.

Did you know that ripstop material is used in hot air balloons and in parachutes? Two activities in which you REALLY don't want your gear ripping….so let's add hunting to that list. So it might not be "life or death" like skydiving but you might wish you were dead if your pack suddenly rips to shreds when it's filled with 100+ pounds of fresh elk and you still have 3 miles to go back to the truck! Our Ultralight Series of packs feature Nylon Ripstop Fabric for two reasons - 1: To keep them ultralight (you probably already figured that out) 2: To put your mind at ease that your pack will take whatever load you throw at it. We're all about peace of mind here....and shooting stuff. We really love shooting stuff.

Aramid fibers are fibers in which the chain molecules are highly oriented along the fiber axis so the strength of the chemical bond can be exploited. What does that mean? Well….we're not sure exactly but we do know that one strand of this thread can lift 110 lbs so we don't really care! Yes, all of the yellow bar-tacks you see on our packs are aramid thread and no, yellow isn't our favorite color. These fibers are so strong and dense that they can't even be dyed another color. At least it's not pink....

Warranty Information

Badlands does not care what happened, or whose fault it was, they will fix it for free forever. Badlands could care less if you bought it at a garage sale or a gear swap, as long as it says Badlands, it's covered. However, your Badlands pack must be repairable, if you throw it in a fire,-with the expectations that sort of craftiness will yield you a brand new pack - that is incorrect. In all honesty, Badlands have seen it all and they understand accidents happen and if it is legit Badlands will always do their best to find you a replacement pack from their demo fleet.

  1. When every ounce matters 5 Star Review

Posted by on 2nd Jul 2014

I bought the Badlands Sacrifice Pack about 2 years ago and initially when trying to figure out which pack to purchase I had to keep in mind the weight! The light and strong internal frame as well as the quality fabric that is reinforced is top notch to say the least! The first excursion for this pack was a backcountry wilderness hunt in central Colorado. Walking 8-15 miles a day you have to pack smart and this pack with the different gear pockets and internal divider made organizing my pack quite easy. All in all I loaded the pack with 40lbs of gear. Enough for a 5-7 day elk hunt. Easy access top flap with dual entry and side pockets that easily accommodated my spotting scope and bugle, side mesh pockets for cow elk calls and diaphragm calls, the main compartment for food, water, tent, sleep system, extra camo, socks, camera, etc... you get the drift. This pack has some storage on it!
You might say this pack is a little pricey but you are truly getting a quality product. Just look at the Badlands warranty... Linton outdoors is a great place to buy and you even save a little in the process. I am a review kinda buyer. If your reading this I wish I could actually verbally tell you how great this pack is.

  2. 92 degrees and comfortable 5 Star Review

Posted by on 9th May 2014

I just took the Sacrifice out for the first overnight trip turkey hunting. i carried a 20# load up the hill 3 miles and a 30# load coming back. the hill is steep and you sweat no matter the temp so you are usually soaking wet when you get to the top. i wasn't. coming back the next day it was 92 outside. Now you are sweating becasue it is 92 but coming back i wasn't soaked in fact the way this carries the load is so much different than my 3000 cu in Cabelas bow pack that i won't be using that other pack for trips like this again. i'm excited about my coming Elk hunt to use this pack. I wasn't that excited about the hydration bladder that you buy separately, i liked the capacity of 105 oz, the construction is good, i wish the fill port was Camelbak compatiable and the bite type valve doesn't flow that well. It could use improvement.
The pack comes highly reccommended and this looks to be you get what you pay for.

  3. Full of Compartments and Lightweight 4 Star Review

Posted by on 17th May 2013

Purchased this bag as a day bag and have to admit I'm impressed with the quality, lightweight, and design, Plenty of compartments and straps to cinch everything down. The pack fits well and the only thing that I don't like is the waistband pockets, they seem kind of small / tight to hold anything of use. I've only tried it out on a short 2 mile hike and haven't really tested it out - hence the 4 stars, but have a feeling it will hold very well.

  4. Options Are Endless. Excellent Pack 5 Star Review

Posted by on 15th Mar 2013

The Sacrifice is a great pack for what it was designed for. All of my gear fits easily into the pack with plenty of room to spare. Lots of different options with many pockets and straps available to stow gear. Will accomodate a 40-50 lb load comfortably. If you are packing elk you might want to consider leaving a 'freighter' at the truck as a 60 lb+ load would be pushing the limit for this pack. Not much to pick on except the hip pockets could have been better.

  5. nice and light camo pack w/internal frame 4 Star Review

Posted by on 16th Oct 2012

My husband was so happy to receive this as a gift. He LOVES how light the pack is and how it will expand, as well as the nice padded hip and shoulder straps, internal frame and venting. He doesn't like how small the zip pouches are on the padded hip straps. When he isn't wearing the pack he can open the zippered pouch and put.the items he likes to have close at hand in them, but when he puts the pack on the zip opening is too tight to access. He was disappointed that his range finder and a few other items he likes easy access to will not fit in these pockets. Overall, though he loves the camo pack and will get good use out of it. If they decide to expand those hip pockets some on the hip/waist strap, then it would be an excellent pack!

  6. Oh so light 5 Star Review

Posted by on 2nd Jun 2011

I weighed this pack as soon as it arrived from Linton Outdoors(fast shipping by the way), 4.2lbs. I'm a gear nut and weight is critical to me, as I like to hunt the backcountry. this pack will easily do 5days with minimal gear at just under 30lbs. Very comfortable to carry and plenty of room for my gear, love the hypervent in the back. Also a great size day pack for day hunts
